Why would anyone dream of a white Christmas?

Our Christmas was... interesting to say the least! We had fun with our families, but getting to and from our families was quite an adventure. Around 12 o'clock we headed out to Adam's parents house to celebrate with them. The whole time I was driving I was just getting an awful feeling. I started getting hysterical and bawling the whole time I'm driving. We got to the road that goes to their house and it was blocked off with barricades. So we decided to turn around and head home. Well, while we were turning around we got stuck and some really nice people came to help us get unstuck. So we got going again, and got stuck again. So the same people helped us again. We got home and by this time I'm crying so hard that the dog came to comfort me. He was such a sweety! It stopped snowing and Adam's family came down to our house for a couple of hours and we opened presents and had a good time. Then by 5 o'clock we headed over to my sister, Amy's house for my family party. The roads were clear at this point and the snow had stopped for quite a while. So we thought we were safe for the night. We had dinner at my sister's house and opened presents there. Then when it was time to leave we made it about 20 feet when we got stuck. We sat on 6200 south heading west for about 45 minutes before we had my brother-in-law, Greg, and brother, Danny, come get us and take us back. They drove my car in reverse back to the house and parked it out front. While they were driving it back, the radio was flickering on and off and just going weird. My sister offered for us to stay the night so we did. We tried to move my car into their driveway so they snow plows could come through, but the car wouldn't start! So it was just left there all night. In the morning Greg and Adam jump started the car and moved it to the driveway. While moving it to the driveway it got stuck so they had to tow it back out. Once it was unstuck, Adam drove it to the side of the house where the snow plows had been. After they moved the car, a plow had hit a truck while plowing their street. My sister made us breakfast (yummy banana pancakes) and we headed home. We slid a couple times going home, but we made it back okay. All of this trouble with my car getting stuck in the snow made me say, "Okay, that's it, we're getting new cars that can drive in the snow." So we're looking to replace my car and get Adam's car replaced sometime after. I've already found a car I like and it's not too expensive. So we'll see how that goes. Christmas this year was definitely an adventure! I hope to not have to do that again!!!
