Year Full Of Changes

This year started out with finding out I'm pregnant. I am now 25 weeks pregnant and almost in the third trimester. 100 days to go! My due date is September 22nd. I'm getting very excited to have a new little one in the house. But at the same time, I'm a little nervous... Another change is Adam has joined the Army Reserves. He leaves for basic training on August 23rd. Which means he'll miss the birth of our new little guy. He will be gone for 5 months for basic and his AIT (advanced individual training). It will be a hard 5 months without him. Luckily I will have Camille (Adam's sister) to help me with Logan. Logan will be her job. It will be a long 5 months, but it'll be worth it in the long run. We have to look at the big picture. He'll get two weeks off for Christmas and then he'll have one more month before he's home for good. I am so proud of Adam for joining the Army. I love him so much and words cannot express how much I appreciate him. I completely adore him. He is such an awesome husband and father. I look up to him so much and he is always such a good example to me. I hope Logan and Evan (the new baby) are just like him. I know whatever we go through, we'll be together and we'll be there to support each other.

Pregnancy

This pregnancy has been easier in a lot of ways, but harder in other ways. With Logan, when I ate, things didn't sit right in my stomach. Very few things sounded good to me. I just remember wanting tacos from Del Taco. That was the only thing that ever sounded good to me. With this pregnancy, I feel perfectly fine. The only thing I have had a hard time eating is string cheese. So that part is easier and I'm grateful for that!
The hard part about this pregnancy is my emotions. I go up and down emotionally so much it's hard for Adam to keep up with me. I go from laughing to crying to yelling in 2 seconds flat! It's taking its toll on me as well as Adam. I lose my patience with Adam and Logan way too easily. It can't be easy living with me... I'm mostly angry all the time. I don't do the laughing part very much which Adam probably wishes I did. I honestly don't know or understand how Adam can deal with me. Sometimes he can't. I just feel so bad that I do that to him and Logan. I try so hard not to be so ornery all the time, but it's so hard! With hormones all wacky, I'm having a hard time controlling myself.
I appreciate Adam so much! He is my rock and he keeps me as sane as I possibly can be during this pregnancy. I am so grateful that he puts up with me and stays with me through all these trials. Life has been stressful lately with everything. Not just pregnancy. It's a very trying time in our marriage and I just love him so much! He will never know just how much I love and appreciate him.

Government

I have never been one to get into the politics or government conversations. Or even look at what's going on in the world. I've just figured, the world's going to go the way it'll go, it doesn't need my help to do it. Well, now I finally have an opinion on a government official that I cannot stand in the slightest!
Governor Herbert is the biggest idiot I have ever seen in my life! He has undone EVERYTHING that Governor Huntsman did! Huntsman made the 4 day work week for the state workers, saving a TON of money! Not to mention gas for us state workers. He was just a wonderful person who even came and worked at a driver license office for a few hours in the afternoon. He even said it himself he doesn't understand how we can do this job day in and day out. He actually looked out for us workers. Even though he never got us raises, he sure did try.
Herbert on the other hand.... He has now taken away our 4 day work week and is making us work five, eight hour days. Costing the state more money. And now our insurance cost is going up! And have we gotten a raise? NO!!!! I have been working for the state for almost 5 years now and in that time (at the very beginning) I've only gotten one raise. And it was just a cost of living raise. Not a "good job, keep up the good work" raise. We have not gotten one since and our insurance keeps going up! It's getting to be so riciculous working for the state! I am not very happy right now...
I have never voted, but I think I will now to keep this idiot out of office! I may not know what I'm talking about, but remember, I don't get into politics...

Surprise!!!

Yes, you've guessed it!!! We're PREGNANT!!!!! Due date is September 17th. My dad's birthday!!!

Keys On Main

Last night, I had my first bar experience! A group of my coworkers reserved a spot for us to go. It was so fun! It was a dueling piano bar. At about 9 PM they had two guys get on two separate pianos and they received requests from the audience. The catch is, there has to be money put with the request if you want them to do it. If the audience doesn't like that song, whatever the person payed to play it has to be outbid. For example: If someone wanted "Piano Man" played (which was played last night) for $10, someone would have to pay over $10 to have them stop. It was so entertaining to see what people would pay for songs! One guy paid $60 to stop a song. This same guy had to have spent more than $100 on songs that night. Katie paid for my drink and I bought us both a cheesecake. We had virgin margaritas. They were super yummy! (Of course I wouldn't drink!) I can't wait until the next time we go. It was so entertaining to see all the people get drunk! Hee hee! One guy started dancing. Needless to say, it was a great night.

Insanity

A while back, I bought a 60 day workout program video set. I have just now started to use it. It is INSANE!!! Which sounds about right because the name of the program is called "Insanity". I have never had a workout quite like this. It is crazy! You do the first part of the videos and you realize, "Wait.... This is just the WARMUP?" I am pushing myself to limits I didn't know I had. I am hoping to have good results with this.

I think it was the cream cheese that did it! My main source of recipes is kraftrecipes.com. I always go here when I need something new. Feel free to try this out. I guarantee it's really tasty!

New Sewing Machine

For Christmas, my sister-in-law bought me a brand new "Brother" sewing machine. I was completely shocked and touched by her thoughtfulness! I couldn't believe she would do that for me! I absolutely love my sewing machine. I have already hemmed up my curtains with it. It works wonderfully! I'm going to have a lot of fun with this awesome machine! I'm planning on making a blanket for Logan now. It will be really fun! Thank you again Camila for an awesome Christmas present! It will be put to good use!
