Triage Fun

So yesterday at work I got my weekly baby update in my email. Well, in this email it said call your doctor if you have any of these symptoms. Well, two of them were menstrual like cramping and lower back pain. Well, a couple of times I have had cramping and I've had lower back pain for about a week now. It's just gradually been getting worse. So I asked my friend at work if she thinks I should call. We decided it couldn't hurt so I called. Well, they told me I needed to go to Labor and Delivery and they would let them know I'm coming. My stomach dropped! I called Adam and let him know where I was going. He couldn't get out of work or he would be kicked out of the training he was doing. So I went by myself. I left work around 5:00 and got the the hospital around 5:20. I got all checked in and was giving a cup to pee in and a gown to put on. So they took my urine to test for a bladder infection. Next they hooked me up to some monitors. One for the baby's heart beat and the other for contractions. I was having some contractions, and when they took my temperature I had a slight fever. So they gave me some Tylenol to get my fever down and I laid there some more. Well, around 7:00 I wasn't liking sitting by myself too much so I called my sister to come and sit with me. She got there around 7:30 and it made me feel lots better to have someone there with me. My fever had gone down and they gave me some pills to calm down my uterus and stop the contracting and hopefully to stop my back pain. Well, it was working. My contractions went away and my back pain left. I was just feeling very tired and loopy from the pills. Then I got sick and I said to my sister, I think I'm going to throw up. She grabbed me a bowl and as soon as I got the bowl I threw up. After that I felt much better and laid back down. About 3 minutes later I was feeling sick again so the nurse gave me the garbage can until she could get me another bowl. As soon as I got the bowl I threw up two more times. It was not fun! By the time they let me go home, it was 10:00 at night; and since I had taken those pills I couldn't drive. So I left my car there and my sister drove me home and my dad and Adam went and picked up my car. It was a very long night and now today I'm on bed rest. I'm supposed to call the doctors if I start cramping or getting back pain again. Hopefully I won't. It's too soon for this little guy to come out!

Isn't that scary! No matter how many times someone is pregnant you always will worry and always need to be cautious. It sounds like you have great family to be there in times of need. You have friends too--know they'll do anything for you anytime. :0) Get better...yes, it's too early for the babester. Get some rest. (I love your wedding pics, you are both so photogenic and beautiful--great photographer)
